Everything on this site — articles, samples, the AI Risk Scorecard, chat replies — is general information about adopting AI in a practice. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or compliance advice, and it is not a security audit or attestation of anything. Decisions for your business belong with you and your own professional advisers.

No engagement until we both sign

Reading this site, using the scorecard, chatting with the widget, or booking a call does not create a client relationship. Consulting engagements begin only with a written, signed statement of work — which is also where pricing, deliverables, and data-handling commitments are formally made.

Project engagements

When a statement of work is signed, these terms apply to the engagement and are repeated in it:

• Thirty days to find anything wrong. If a deliverable doesn't do what the statement of work says it does, I fix it at no charge for thirty days after delivery.
• You own everything on final payment. Code, content, accounts, and data transfer to you when the final invoice is paid; until then they are held for you and used for nothing else.
• Changes are priced in writing first. Any change to scope is quoted in writing and starts only after you approve it in writing. No surprise invoices.
• Liability is capped at the fees paid. For any claim arising from an engagement, total liability is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement.
• Ontario law, Ontario courts. Engagements are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario.

Samples are illustrations

Sample reports, the demo practice site, and worked examples describe fictional practices and invented figures unless explicitly stated otherwise. They demonstrate format and method, not client results.

Ordinary housekeeping

• Site content is ours (or licensed); quote it with attribution, don't pass it off as your own.
• Don't misuse the site — no scraping the chat, probing, or entering other people's personal information.
• The site is provided as-is; we work to keep it accurate and available but can't warrant either, and our liability arising from use of the website is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable Canadian law.
